Below you will find all of my posts that are Bible study related, but first, here’s a quick peek into my walk with God.
I grew up going to a Presbyterian church right in the center of our small town. While my family went to church every Sunday, conversations about God were nonexistent. I did not understand who God was until I understood who Jesus is, and that wasn’t until a couple of years ago. I was at a Chris Tomlin Christmas concert with my mom and seeing the big words on the screen and singing all about Jesus the Messiah, it was in that moment that I broke into tears and realized, oh my gosh Jesus is the missing puzzle piece in my life. Jesus says in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”, and it wasn’t until I placed my faith in Jesus that I was able to grow in my relationship with God.
I am still a new believer, especially compared to a lot of my close friends and church members. I am often scared to share my faith because I don’t feel like I “know enough” to speak up in support of it. God doesn’t ask us to be christian experts, He doesn’t ask us to live perfect lives in order to be in a relationship with Him. I have made horrible decisions in my life, and acted in incredibly sinful ways. God still called out to me in those moments, He still loves me despite my past mistakes and He will continue to love me through all of the trip ups in my life. All of that is true for me, and it is also true for you. I would love for you to join me in this walk of faith, taking steps each day to grow closer to God through spending time in His Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers.
Favorite Verse: Philippians 1:20 “…as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death” Paul is writing to the Philippian church and essentially holding nothing back. He is […]
Favorite Verse: Philippians 2: 12-13 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure” Thoughts: […]
Let’s continue the journey through Philippians together! Favorite Verse: Philippians 3:8 “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.” Thoughts: Can I just […]
Famous Verse: I feel like I cannot write a summary of Philippians chapter 4 without first highlighting two of the most notable verses in this book, which are Philippians 4:6-7 “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace […]
Happy Friday everyone! I wrote a blog post yesterday kind of reflecting on my therapy experience on Wednesday but it’s kind of blah. So I don’t know if I’m going to publish it or not. I haven’t really been inspired to write recently either which makes me kind of sad. I love to write, but […]
Hello! How’s everyone doing this morning? Did your week get off to a good start? We are on the slow recovery train over here. As I mentioned yesterday, James and I are still faced with lingering cold symptoms. Yuck. Things are definitely improving each day, but I don’t have patience for colds in the summer. […]
